Description

John Deere harvesting heads are known for their excellent productivity and reliability. Its versatility, serviceability and measurement accuracy are characteristics respected by forestry professionals.

✓ LIMBING QUALITY

The ideal geometry of the harvesting heads, together with advanced feeding, trunk support, hydraulics, mechanics and automation, guarantee a high quality of limbing.

✓ MEASUREMENT ACCURACY

John Deere harvesting heads provide the best measurement accuracy on the market. This is the result of the perfect combination of combine and header technology, something that is characteristic of John Deere.

✓ HIGH SAW PERFORMANCE

The John Deere specific saw unit offers high cutting performance, thanks to John Deere's excellent automation, mechanics and hydraulics. It also features easy saw chain change, a reliable saw chain tensioner and a wide range of bars and lubrication systems for versatile customer needs.

INTELLIGENT IBC ARM CONTROL

The harvester's IBC system has been precisely tuned to the work cycle: the path and operation of the arm varies depending on, for example, whether the harvester head is empty or is supporting a tree.

IBC improves work ergonomics and guides the operator in the correct use of the boom extension. The handling of the arm becomes softer and more delicate, thus reducing the effort on the entire arm. The end of the arm automatically follows the desired trajectory. If hill mode is chosen the trajectory will be suitable for working on a slope.

CONTROL SYSTEMS AND AUTOMATION

The TimberMatic control system for John Deere G-Series Harvesters includes everything needed for base machine control and monitoring, measuring and bucking in one configurable user interface. Using a system alone makes the operator's job faster and easier.

Several pressure sensors have been added to the TimerMatic, making it possible to adjust most settings inside the cab, even without tools. Pressure sensors make machine adjustments and condition monitoring easier with the PC installed on board the machine:

  • Working and transmission pump pressures
  • limbing knives
  • Feed rolls.

ADAPTIVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL

Adaptive Transmission Control is a software-based control system that improves drivability and increases productivity on John Deere G-Series forest machines. The system automatically adjusts engine rpm based on engine load in the driving rpm range. The minimum and maximum ranges are set in TimberMatic.
The system provides stable, high engine rpm during high engine load, improving engine power utilization during simultaneous driving and boom use. High engine rpm is only used when necessary, to reduce noise level and fuel consumption. Engine power management prioritizes the work pump over the drive pump – engine rpm and hydraulic power delivered to the harvester head are maintained during simultaneous tree processing and handling. When processing a tree, the system adjusts the engine rpm based on the processing power control setting. The adaptive transmission system is a unique standard feature only available from John Deere.
