"THE FUTURE OF DRYING"

TROCKNNER firewood drying system

During the call for CIB (Integrated Biomass Centers) for 2023, the company JTC Maderas participated with a TROCK FIREWOOD-5 drying equipment, obtaining first place in the Bio-Bio region.

In Chile, several methods are used to dry firewood, such as pre-drying in storage fields, wood beds, solar dryers and drying in logs. Each method has its pros and cons, with disadvantages being aspects such as cost, drying efficiency, uniformity, control and transport. Nevertheless, drying is essential to ensure the quality of firewood and meet the standards of the quality seal for dry firewood.

Pre-drying in stockyards is a lower-cost option that also makes sorting and organizing firewood easier, although it can lead to uneven drying. Wood beds, on the other hand, are affordable and easy to operate, but face similar problems with uniformity and process monitoring. Solar dryers, which are more expensive, speed up drying and have a variety of uses, but also require more handling when transporting the firewood. Finally, drying in logs is an efficient method in highly mechanized systems, but it requires a considerable initial investment and complicates the control of firewood moisture.

In the wood drying process, TROCKNNER systems make the most of energy by not using wasteful ventilation. They operate using a cooling system that condenses moisture, thus conserving thermal energy for reuse. Their main benefit is the ability to continuously recycle heat instead of removing hot air as in traditional dryers, making them more energy efficient and reducing their operating costs. TROCKNNER dryers are based on the "Inverse Carnot Principle" to capture heat from the environment, and by adding a small amount of electrical energy (1 kW), they are capable of generating up to 4 kW of energy, with an efficiency ratio of 1:4.

Discover the versatility and efficiency of the TROCKNNER firewood drying system, designed to handle a wide range of wood products from pallets to firewood. Our innovative and flexible design allows for easy modifications and expansions to adapt to changing regulations or your evolving needs. Invest in a drying solution that streamlines your process and improves your business with TROCKNNER equipment.

With the TROCKNNER drying system, you can count on adaptability, efficiency and ease of operation. These units are designed to raise the chamber temperature and remove moisture, ensuring that they meet specific requirements for moisture content and surface appearance. By meeting these key conditions, we ensure product quality and extended shelf life.

Energy efficiency and sustainability have become key terms in recent years. TROCKNNER drying systems only require electricity to operate, thus eliminating fuel consumption and emissions derived from its combustion. In addition, these systems reduce energy costs for drying by 40% - 60%. This is because TROCKNNER equipment conserves energy by recycling heat. By constantly recycling heat, the electrical demand of the equipment decreases, resulting in greater efficiency than conventional systems that, although they use cheaper fuel, require a greater amount to perform the same task. This translates into savings in time and money.

Driving energy efficiency to increase the competitiveness of our customers has always been part of our philosophy. Naturally, in these times of climate change, it is imperative to adopt more sustainable practices and initiate an urgent energy transition. At TROCKNNER, we see this as the main axis of our mission.
