AgenciaSE inaugurates Comprehensive Biomass Center in the commune of Coronel
During a visit by representatives of the Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE), the new comprehensive biomass drying center in the municipality of Coronel was presented to representatives of the community and the municipality.
On August 20, the manager of JTC Maderas and the professional of the Territories and Buildings Line of AgenciaSE, Jaime López, and the regional secretary of energy of Bio-Bio, Daniela Espinoza, met with representatives of the Municipality of Coronel to inaugurate the new Comprehensive Biomass Center (CIB) project implemented by TROCKNNER, with the support of AgenciaSE.
“During the visit on Tuesday, August 20, we met with all the actors who will participate in the project to implement an Integrated Biomass Center (CIB) in the municipality of Coronel. We introduced ourselves to the leadership of the recently created Bioenergetic Cooperative, with the members of this cooperative, and, in addition, we presented the project to municipal officials, one of the main stakeholders,” Jaime Toledo stressed.
The executive indicated that this project, financed through AgenciaSE, will allow the territorial scope to be expanded with the Integrated Biomass Centers (CIB) program, which is currently being developed in the regions of La Bio - Bio and Aysén, with resources from the Ministry of Energy. "This implementation allows us to explore new models of intervention, production, supplies and management, through the formation of the Bioenergetic Cooperative, an organization that will be responsible for the administration of the CIB, and we hope that this model will be replicated in other localities that have firewood as their main source of income and heating," added the Deputy Director of Operations of AgenciaSE.
It is worth noting that AgenciaSE, in its role as market articulator, is promoting this initiative that will benefit the municipality of Coronel through the operation of this new CIB, which will become a sales hub for certified firewood with the Firewood Quality Seal, guaranteeing consumers a quality product that meets all standards and that allows small producers and firewood merchants in the area to formalize their production model, all contributing to the decontamination of the cities of southern Chile.
