TROCKNNER announces the opening of a new food drying laboratory in 2023, which will be dedicated to the research and development of food products and other materials that require precise and efficient moisture reduction. This laboratory, based on the TROCK - FOOD 350 model, will use state-of-the-art technology to provide customers with accurate and reliable moisture reduction results.


TROCKNNER's laboratory will be one of the most advanced food drying facilities in the world, with a capacity to process a wide variety of food products and materials, including fruits, vegetables, plant-based products, meats, pharmaceuticals, building materials and plant-based packaging, among others. The main objective of the laboratory will be to provide customers with a comprehensive product development and testing service to help them optimize the quality of their products and accelerate their time to market.


The TROCKNNER laboratory will use the TROCK - FOOD 350 model, which is a food drying machine with high energy efficiency and low operating cost. This model features circulation fans and distribution components that send air into the treatment space, and a variable speed controller that adjusts the speed and direction of the airflow. In addition, a PLC automatically controls the functions of the lab dryer, and an operator display reports operating conditions and allows the operator to change temperature, RH, and air speed to suit the application.


Products that can be tested in the TROCKNNER laboratory include a wide variety of foods and materials, such as vegetables, fruits, plant-based products, mushrooms, jerky, seafood, snacks, pet treats, pharmaceuticals, packaging materials , construction products, alternative forms of protein, ingredients, herbs and spices, coffee and other grains.


The results of the tests carried out in the TROCKNNER laboratory will be used to establish a drying curve and optimize the quality characteristics of the product, such as moisture content, water activity, colour, surface appearance and texture. , in order to determine the size and design of a commercial machine.
