How to dry cherries?

The TROCKNNER dryer is an advanced drying equipment designed to dry fruits and vegetables efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way, thanks to the combination of heat pump technology with traditional drying methods. Below are the steps and recommended temperatures for drying cherries with a TROCKNNER fruit and vegetable dryer.

Steps

1. Prepare the cherries. Wash the cherries and remove the pits.

2. Cut them according to size. If the cherries are large, cut them into slices or in half to speed up the drying process.

3. Distribute them in the dryer. Place the cherries evenly on the tray of the heat pump fruit and vegetable dryer, making sure they do not stick together.

4. Set the temperature and time. According to the dryer's instruction manual, set the temperature between 50°C and 65°C. The drying time will depend on the size and moisture content of the cherries, usually between 8 and 20 hours.

5. Monitor the drying process. During drying, check the cherries regularly to ensure they are dehydrating evenly and not spoiling or developing mold. If necessary, rotate or rearrange them on the tray to ensure even drying.

6. Remove and store. When the cherries are completely dry, remove them from the dryer and store them in a dry, well-ventilated place.

Attention

For drying cherries, it is recommended to set the temperature between 50°C and 65°C. Too high a temperature can negatively affect the taste and nutritional value of cherries, while too low a temperature will prolong the drying process. For this reason, it is essential to select the appropriate temperature based on the dryer model, the size of the cherries, humidity and other factors.

A TROCKNNER fruit and vegetable dryer is an efficient and safe option for drying cherries, helping to preserve their original shape.
