How to dry oranges?

TROCKNNER dryers can be used to dry oranges; in general, oranges should be dried at low temperatures to maintain their flavour and quality. Below are some basic steps and suggestions for setting the temperature:

Steps

1. Wash the oranges and cut them into slices. Make sure each slice is the same thickness, this will help the drying time to be more uniform.

2. Place the orange slices evenly in the dryer. Avoid stacking them so that the air can flow better.

3. Set the dryer temperature between 40°C and 50°C. This temperature range helps preserve the flavor and color of the oranges. If your dryer doesn't have a temperature adjustment option, try setting it to the "low" setting.

4. Allow the oranges to dry in the dryer for 18 to 22 hours. The exact time depends on the thickness of the oranges and the model of dryer. It is recommended that you periodically check the dryness of the oranges to ensure that they are not too dry.

Attention

It is important to note that if the temperature of the heat pump dryer is too high, the oranges may become overdried and lose their flavour and quality. Therefore, make sure to choose the right temperature for your dryer and the thickness of the oranges.
